The Mid Sussex Local Plan was adopted on May 27th 2004 and is part of the development plan for Mid Sussex. This has now been replaced by the Mid Sussex District Plan.

However, until such time as the South Downs Local Plan is adopted (currently estimated for autumn 2018), any relevant general or site specific policy in the Mid Sussex Local Plan will continue to apply to development proposals in that part of the district within the South Downs National Park.

The Plan sets out policies and specific proposals for the development and use of land to guide planning decisions.
