You can apply for help with moving your bins to the roadside. Collection teams offer assistance with moving your bins if you are physically unable to move them. You can also apply on behalf of someone else.

Please allow 3 working days for the assisted collection to be set up, if your next collection falls within this time please present at your normal collection point.

How assisted collection works

The bin crew will collect your wheelie bin from outside your house, even if the bins are in your garden.  

We can help you by moving your bin to the collection area for the following services:  

  • Household rubbish / recycling waste
  • The outdoor food waste bin
  • Garden waste if you have signed-up for our garden waste collection service
  • Clinical waste if you have registered with our clinical waste service
