The purpose of this development brief is to set out clear guidelines, which a prospective developer will be expected to follow when preparing a planning application for Clock Field, Turners Hill. These include land uses, layouts, design, provision of open space, access, landscaping and provision for wildlife. The site is located on the eastern side of North Street, Turners Hill and is likely to be developed for around 50 houses with open space and alterations to North Street, which will include improved pedestrian access to the centre of the village.
In preparing the development brief, views have been sought from local residents, the parish council and a range of organisations. Early consultation highlighted concerns of residents regarding the highway proposals. In order to resolve some of these issues, an amended highway scheme was proposed and consulted on in April 2006 and is set out in the adopted document.
