Residents back Council priorities
A new survey conducted on behalf of Mid Sussex District Council has confirmed that most local people are very happy with the area in which they live and support the Council's priorities. Key findings show that 85% of respondents were satisfied with their local area, 64% were satisfied with the way the Council runs things and 64% felt informed about what the Council does.
District Council has no investment in failing Icelandic banks
You may have seen reports in the media concerning Local Authority funds invested in Icelandic banks in general and in the failed Landsbanki in particular. Mid Sussex District Council would like to reassure residents that it is not one of the authorities with Icelandic investments.
West Sussex County Council is one of the affected authorities and has issued a statement to explain its position.
Greener spaces, better places
Mid Sussex District Council is offering local Primary Schools the chance to take part in a new environmental education programme. The ‘Greener spaces, better places' course has been drawn up by MSDC officers to teach young children how to look after the environment. The programme is completely free of charge and covers key stage 1 and 2 of the National Curriculum.
