Playground Improvement Plans

Hollands Way Playground, East Grinstead

Following public consultation carried out over the last year, the work to improve Hollands Way play area is now complete.

There is now:

  • Climbing frame and slide for toddlers
  • Swings – traditional junior, toddler and rope nest
  • Challenging climbing frame for older children with a slide
  • 4 play panels
  • Low level toddler seating between the panels for socialisation and role play
  • Playground game markings as a trail along the path
  • Roundabouts and springer

The Dolphin, Haywards Heath

Following the consultation carried out in 2022, we are pleased to have installed the two most popular items we suggested – the spinning net climber and monkey bars. Both have been installed up on the raised kickabout area next to the playground, together with a new path to improve access for all to that space.

The Spinning net climber is over 3m tall, providing thrill and challenge for older children. The monkey bars, or Calisthenics rung ladder, offer the opportunity to improve fitness for all as well as play for children.

The Wyshe Play Area, Pyecombe

Pyecombe Parish Council, together with Mid Sussex District Council, are hoping to secure external funding to be able to upgrade the play facilities at The Wyshe Play Area in Pyecombe.
