Park Rangers

Hello from the Park Rangers!

Park Rangers patrol the Council's leisure parks, sports grounds, open spaces and conservation areas.  We help to provide a safe and enjoyable outdoor leisure environment and advice and guidance on outdoor sites and facilities.

This is achieved by:

  • establishing links with the local community
  • school and community group visits
  • promoting and encouraging responsible facility use
  • working to resolve a number of conflict issues such as dog fouling and vandalism
  • encouraging and assisting with the development of activities including guided walks around conservation sites and the Council's main leisure parks
  • inspecting sites and facilities
  • providing customer advice, guidance and information
  • bylaw enforcement
  • investigation of incidents and accidents on District Council leisure land

For more information about the Park Rangers please take a look at our Rangers Information Leaflet

The Park Rangers are here to HELP YOU and can be easily recognised by their distinctive uniforms. They also carry official identification.
