An apprenticeship is a way to earn while you learn – you will receive on-the-job training and study for recognised qualifications relating to the job role.

There are a wide variety of apprenticeships across different industries. Mid Sussex District Council supports apprenticeships and current opportunities will be listed on this webpage.

To be an apprentice, you will need to be:

• 16 or over
• Living in England
• Not in full-time education

As an apprentice, you will:

• Work alongside experienced staff
• Gain job-specific skills
• Earn a wage and receive holiday pay
• Receive time for study related to your role
