Energy Calculations
SAP calculations are a requirement of the Building Regulations.
They are needed for all newly built homes in the UK and can be used to allow greater design flexibility for extension to existing dwellings.
What is SAP?
SAP stands for 'Standard Assessment Procedure'. It is a government approved system for assessing the energy rating for a new home.
The calculations measure:
- Heat loss
- Available sunlight
- Air permeability
- Heating
- Hot water
- Lighting
