As part of a programme of reviewing Conservation Area Appraisals across the District, Mid Sussex District Council prepared a Conservation Areas Appraisal for the East Grinstead Conservation Area.

The Draft East Grinstead Conservation Area Appraisal set out the special features of the Conservation Area, as well as management proposals to preserve and enhance its character, including proposed boundary changes.

A public consultation on the Draft East Grinstead Conservation Area Appraisal took place between Monday 17 June and Monday 29 July. A public meeting was also held on Monday 1 July 2019 at East Grinstead Library.

The consultation is now closed.

Thank you for your comments on the East Grinstead Conservation Area Appraisal, on the management proposals, and on the proposed changes to the boundaries of the Conservation Area.

The responses to the consultation will now be reviewed and taken into account in the production of the final Appraisal document.
