Unmet Demand Survey
Mid Sussex District Council currently restricts the number of Hackney Vehicle (Taxi) licences that it issues to 154 licences.
In order that Mid Sussex District Council can properly assess and review its present limitation policy of the number of hackney carriage vehicle licences it issues, the Council must carry out a regular survey into the level of service provided by the hackney carriage trade in this area. This is known as an unmet demand survey.
LVSA have been instructed to undertake the 2022 survey.
If you are a licensed driver (Taxi or Private Hire) or Operator you can complete the online survey at www.ctstraffic.co.uk/midsussex22
The vehicles and drivers are subject to very stringent tests and conditions. They are also given regular spot checks by the police and the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).
