The awards are an annual event celebrating the outstanding work of people within our communities.

The award recognises volunteers whose work helps to:

  • Support valuable organisations and groups across Mid Sussex
  • Improve the quality of community life

Nominees are chosen by Councillors from Mid Sussex District Council and local town and parish Councils:

Community Service Award winners 2017

The 2017 Chairman’s Community Service Awards were held on Sunday 17 September at the South of England Showground.

The event saw 34 residents from across Mid Sussex recognised for the time, skills and energy that they have dedicated to the community to help others.

The awards were presented by Councillor Bruce Forbes, Chairman of Mid Sussex District Council and the High Sheriff of West Sussex, Lady Emma Barnard.
