Jed Dwight has been elected to Haywards Heath Town Council following the Franklands Ward by-election held on Thursday 28 July 2016.

The by-election was called following the resignation of Councillor Jacqui Hollister from Haywards Heath Town Council.

The election results for the Haywards Heath Town Council Franklands Ward by-election are as follows:

Maria Elena BURRELL (UKIP) – 86 votes
Jed DWIGHT (The Conservative Party Candidate) – 477 votes – Elected
Ben HALL (Labour Party) – 185 votes
Tristan INGLESFIELD (Liberal Democrats) – 88 votes
Paul MILTON (BDA Ambassador for Arts & Dyslexia) – 34 votes

The total number of votes cast in the Haywards Heath Town Council Franklands Ward by-election was 870. There were 0 rejected ballot papers and the turnout was 21.4%.
