PR2121/TS/MF - 24/08/2017
A by-election has been called for the Haywards Heath Franklands Ward following the resignation of Councillor Jed Dwight from Haywards Heath Town Council.
The by-election, which will be held on Thursday 19 October 2017, only concerns registered electors in the Haywards Heath Franklands electoral area; residents living in other areas of Mid Sussex are not eligible to vote.
The deadline for new voter registration applications is Tuesday 3 October 2017 and the deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 4 October 2017. Recent home movers should check that they have updated their details on the electoral register and will be eligible to vote.
Candidates for the by-election are yet to be determined and any registered elector that lives in the Haywards Heath Town Council electoral area, or within three miles of the boundary, is eligible for nomination. Local residents have until 4pm on Friday 22 September 2017 to submit candidate nominations.
