District Council by-election called for Copthorne and Worth ward

A by-election will be held on Thursday 16 April to fill a vacancy on Mid Sussex District Council in the Copthorne and Worth ward.
Anyone who would like to stand as a candidate for election can do so by completing and submitting a nomination pack before 4pm on Wednesday 18 March.
Only people living in the Copthorne and Worth ward are eligible to vote in this by-election. Please remember that it is up to each individual to ensure that they have registered to vote. Paying Council Tax or logging details with another Council department does not automatically entitle people to vote. Voter details must be entered onto the Electoral Register separately.
Due to the ongoing public health situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19), voters will be asked to sanitise their hands with an alcohol-based gel, which will be provided as they enter the polling station. Alternatively, people can apply to vote by post at www.midsussex.gov.uk/postalvoting. New postal vote applications must be received by 5pm on Monday 30 March.
Residents have until 5pm on Monday 6 April if they would like to apply for a Proxy vote, so that someone may vote on their behalf.
