By-election called for Burgess Hill Dunstall Ward

A by-election has been called for Thursday 7 April 2022 to elect a new representative in the Dunstall Ward of Burgess Hill Town Council.

The vacancy on Burgess Hill Town Council has arisen following the disqualification of Councillor Emma Coe-Gunnell White.

Candidates are yet to be determined and any registered elector in the Burgess Hill Town Council area is eligible for nomination.

The by-election (if contested), only concerns registered electors in the Dunstall Ward of Burgess Hill; residents living in other areas of Mid Sussex are not eligible to vote.

Residents have until 4pm on Friday 11 March 2022 to submit candidate nominations. Nomination packs can be found on the Mid Sussex District Council website at www.midsussex.gov.uk/elections-voting/upcoming-elections/

The deadline for new voter registration applications is Tuesday 22 March 2022 and the deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 23 March 2022. Recent home movers should check that they have updated the electoral register and will be eligible to vote.
