- You must list all items on the form.
- Bulky waste can only be collected from outside your home.
- Make sure your bulky waste is out, close to the road, from 7am on the day of collection.
- You will be told the day your collection will take place.
- Collection can take up to ten working days.

Bulky item costs
Your bulky waste will be classed as a large item if it takes more than one person to carry. Please take look at our Bulky waste size guidelines or contact us for further information.

Electrical item costs
The Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) states that all electrical equipment must be collected and dealt with separately. Please take look at our Bulky/Electrical waste size guidelines or contact us for further information.

Bulky garden waste
Garden waste must be bagged, boxed or tied for ease and safety of handling. Customers who have a lot of regular garden waste may want to sign-up for our garden waste collection service.

Choose this option if the cost of your single items - when added together - is more than £50.
This is also an option for items that do not fit into the large or small item categories listed above. Such as:
- Dismantled garden sheds
- Fence panels
- Carpet pieces
- Pianos - broken up only
- Tree-trunks and other garden material needing more than one person to carry

Council Tax / Housing Benefits savings
The Council offers a 50% saving for residents who get Council Tax and / or Housing Benefit. This does not apply if you already get Single Person Discount on Council Tax due to living alone.

Please take plasterboard to the following household waste recycling sites:
Storage heaters are seen as hazardous waste because they may contain asbestos. Make sure the heater is bagged in 1000 gauge polythene (250 micron = 0.25mm) and taped tightly shut.
Please take it to your local household waste and recycling site and tell a member of staff when you get there.
