  John De Mierre has been declared the winner of the District Council by-election for the Franklands (Haywards Heath) Ward following the election which took place on 29th July 2010.

The Election results for the Mid Sussex District Council Franklands Ward are as follows:

John De Mierre (Conservative Party) 545 votes - Elected

Raha Kazemi (Liberal Democrat Party) 464 votes

Colin Ripley Bates (Independent) 63 votes

The total number of people eligible to vote in the Franklands Ward by-election was 3524 and the turnout was 30%.
