The Bachelors

On the eve of St Patrick's Day, Irish pop heroes Con and Dec "The Bachelors" will perform at Martlets Hall. The Sixties pop music legends bring a decade of outstanding hits to the Burgess Hill venue on Friday 16 March with doors opening at 8pm. Tickets are available now from Martlets Hall box office priced at £10 adults, £8 concessions. To book call Martlets Hall on 01444 242888.

Forget about Westlife and Boyzone, with over forty years recording experience The Bachelors are Ireland's original boy band. Taking audiences on a journey down memory lane, The Bachelors produce a concert that is packed with Sixties nostalgia. Known primarily as a three-part harmony group, The Bachelors offer so much more and produce a truly diverse sound. Influenced by Country music they incorporate big ballads with songs like ‘No arms can ever hold you' making the most of Con Cluskey's stunning vocals.

One of the biggest recording artists of the 1960's, The Bachelors produced eighteen hit records in the UK chart and sold millions of records around the world. In 1964 The Bachelors registered more records in the UK top ten than The Beatles, showing in the chart for a staggering seventy-seven weeks. The hits speak for themselves, "Charmaine", "Ramona", "I believe", "Sound of silence" and number one hit "Diane" ensure The Bachelors are a much loved part of sixties pop history.
