Mid Sussex Community Connections is a partnership project, funded by the Mid Sussex Strategic Partnership and Mid Sussex District Council. It aims to help older people access the services, benefits and facilities that will enable them to live independently, heathly happy lives in their own homes and community. It provides easily accessable information about services for older people in the form of a Directory. This is distributed to older people themselves and to professionals (statutory and voluntary) working in the area. The Community Connections Directory of Services, are also distributed to Help Points and other information points.
Comunity Connections brings together statutory and voluntary organisations working together for the benefit of older people in the area. Community Connections is also about raising awareness of the needs older people in the area have. In this role it acts as the Steering Group for the West Sussex County Council Partnerships for Older People Projects Voluntary Sector Neighbourhood Networks.
