Clair Hall has teamed up with the promoters of Jack Dee, Mark Lamarr and Phill Jupitus to bring a new season of headline comedy performers to Haywards Heath.

The first programme of the new season features Mitch Benn, Paul Thorne and Steve Williams on Thursday 15th September at 7.30 p.m. Advance booking is recommended, and all the acts will contain adult humour.

Mitch Benn is a regular writer and performer on The Now Show for BBC Radio 4 and It's Been a Bad Week for BBC Radio 2. On TV, Mitch has appeared on Gas for Channel 4, Live at Jongleurs and The Warehouse for ITV and The Comedy Store for Channel 5. Mitch has performed many times at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, including hour-long solo shows in 1997, '98 and '99. In 1998 he won the Mercury Comedian of the Year prize at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

Paul Thorne has established himself as one of the country's most sought after stand-up comics since his debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1995. As well as performing at all Britain's major venues and comedy festivals, Paul can be seen on a weekly basis at London's prestigious Comedy Store. He has also supported Jack Dee and Lee Hurst on their respective nationwide tours.

Following his 2002 Edinburgh Fringe success performing in the Opening Gala night andhosting the sell-out, 25-day run of The Amused Moose, Steve Williams returned to Edinburgh in 2003 to perform in Room on Top - The Comedy Bus, Birds and the acclaimed Midnight Show.

Tickets cost £8 (concessions £6). To book, call the box office on 01444 455440.

A full-colour brochure, listing all the forthcoming attractions at both Clair Hall and Martlets Hall in Burgess Hill from September to December has just been published. Free copies of what's on are available from the box offices of both venues, or see the online version of What's On.
