Do you have any halls for hire?
Yes, we have several sports pavilions for hire (capacity approx 20 people). Available for Children's Parties (up to 12 y/o), small meetings and other community use.

How do I collect pavilion keys?
For the Burgess Hill Sites, keys can be collected from the Burgess Hill Town Council Help Point in Church Walk. Proof of paument will be required, phone 01444 247726 or email helppoint@burgesshill.gov.uk in advance to arrange key collection.
For the remainder of Mid Sussex District Council's Pavilions, keys must be collected from the Council Offices in Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath. Call 01444 477379 or email bookings@midsussex.gov.uk to arrange.
In some cases key delivery may be possible, but only if absolutely essential. Keys cannot be posted.
How would I contact your department outside of normal office hours?
Outside of normal office hours, the Park Ranger Service should be your first point of contact. If it's urgent, telephone the Duty Ranger on 08456 008670 otherwise please call the office number 01444 477561 or email rangers@midsussex.gov.uk
When will the grass be cut/pitch marked out on my local sports ground?
Summer - pitches are prepared as late as possible before the fixture to ensure the best possible playing surface. For weekend fixtures work is usually completed on the Thursday or Friday beforehand (weather permitting). A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for pitch preparation, confirmed bookings only.
Winter - Pitches are regularly monitored and maintained throughout the season. Clubs will be notified in advance if a pitch is deemed unfit for use.

How do I book a Mid Sussex District Council Park for a Non-Sporting Event (e.g. Fete)?
Upon application to hire Mid Sussex District Council land for this purpose we will require full details of the event and any planned activities. This includes a detailed risk assessment, site plan and itinerary. In addition the Council will require a copy of a Public Liability Insurance Certificate (minimum value £5million).For more information refer to our Non-Sporting Events Pages.
