Mid Sussex District Council has been shortlisted for a PARC (Parking Annual Report by Councils) Award in recognition of the clear and concise parking information it provides to residents.
The Council produces an Annual Parking Report to keep residents informed about the latest developments within the parking service. It provides a clear overview of the year in terms of civil enforcement and pay and display car park performance.
The PARC Awards were launched in 2009 to increase transparency and promote best practice amongst councils in the production of information about parking. Mid Sussex District Council is one of only nine local authorities in the UK to be shortlisted for the award by PATROL, the Joint Committee of England and Wales for the civil enforcement of Parking and Traffic Regulations Outside London.
Around 70 reports were considered for this year’s awards. The winners will be announced and awards presented at a House of Commons reception on 11 July 2017.
PATROL Director Louise Hutchinson said: “Annual reports allow Councils to set out their parking policies, provision and results of local consultations to meet the needs of their residents, businesses and visitors.”
PATROL commissioned an independent group of experts to judge the nominations.
