Through our new Community Toilet Scheme partners, toilets are available for public use at the following places:

All open normal business hours.

Please note: The toilets listed above that have disabled facilities are accessible with a RADAR key, usually 24hrs/7 days a week.

RADAR keys give access to disabled toilets throughout the country who are members of the scheme.

RADAR keys will be issued free of charge to Mid Sussex residents providing they are:

  •      Wheelchair users.
  •      Those unable to use toilets without handrails or other aids.
  •      Those who need help from a companion.

The key remains the property of Mid Sussex District Council and must be returned when the holder no longer qualifies as a disabled resident. Keys can be collect from the Districts Help points.  We will need to see either your award letter showing Higher Rate DLA or your blue badge if you have one.

Community Toilet Scheme

The Council are looking to increase the number of clean, safe and accessible toilets available to the public by introducing a new Community Toilet Scheme. The Council is looking for local businesses that would like to make their toilet facilities available to the general public. Those taking part in the scheme will receive a small annual payment from the Council towards the running of the service. For more information please contact Stuart Brown, Outdoor Services Officer on 01444 477305 or Stuart.Brown@midsussex.gov.uk
