Mid Sussex School Sports Partnership

Mid Sussex Active was born out of the School Sport Co-ordinator programme was first launched in September 2000 with an initial 600 School Sport Co-ordinators (SSCos) being funded through Sport England's Lottery Fund. These were targeted at areas of greatest deprivation. Through the PE, School Sport and Club Links (PESSCL) strategy, the government ensured that school sport partnerships are now an integral part of every LEA and school's PE and school sport strategy.

MSA are families of schools that have come together to enhance sports opportunities for all. St Paul's Sports College is at the hub of the partnership and are led by Lorraine Everard, who is based at St Paul's.

Around St Paul's (the Mid Sussex Sports College) there are 6 other secondary schools. Each of these secondary schools is responsible for the co-ordination and development of school sport in their own school and family of primary / special schools.
