Lend a Helping Hand During Severe Weather

You local Council is likely to hold equipment which can be used by local volunteers to help clear pavements, thus helping to get communities up and running after snowfall.

Volunteers must be aged 18 or over, physically fit, suitably dressed for the weather and able to make it safely to the local Town/Parish Council offices. Volunteers will be provided with a safety briefing and the appropriate protective equipment.

If you feel you can help your local community contact your local Town/Parish Council and enquire about the use of this equipment. As soon as you have completed the work, please return the equipment so that others can also benefit.
