2016 Haywards Heath Town Council By Election (Franklands Ward)

A by-election will be held on Thursday 28 July in the Franklands Ward of Haywards Heath following the resignation of Councillor Jacqui Hollister from Haywards Heath Town Council.

The by-election only concerns registered electors in the Franklands Ward of Haywards Heath; residents living in other areas of Mid Sussex will not be eligible to vote.


Following requests from local electors, a by-election has been called to fill the vacant seat. The candidates for the by-election have yet to be determined and any registered elector in Mid Sussex is eligible for nomination. Local residents have until 4pm on Friday 1 July 2016 to submit candidate nominations.


The deadline for new voter registration applications is Midnight on Monday 12 July 2016 and the deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 13 July 2016.

Recent home movers should check that they have updated the electoral register and will be eligible to vote.
