STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

The Statement of Community Involvement acts as a guide and benchmark for all Council services to use when involving communities.  It was adopted by the Council on 19th October 2011.

The Statement is set out in three parts. The first part, called ‘"How you can get involved", is the Code of Practice which sets out six principles the Council will apply in engaging with our residents.

There are two appendices to this main document, which show how the draft Statement will be put into practice in key areas. These appendices are:

KEY CONTACTS LIST

One of the initiatives of the Statement of Community Involvement is to maintain an up-to-date list of 'Key Contacts'.  This is a list of organisations and groups that the District Council will consider contacting for consultation on the Local Development Framework.

Individuals can subscribe to the Local Development Framework email alert to be kept in touch with progress on the Local Development Framework.
