What is the District Plan?

The District Plan will be the main planning document used by the Council when considering planning applications.

October 2011 - Consultation Draft District Plan

At its meeting on the 19th October 2011, Council approved the Consultation Draft District Plan for consultation. The consultation started on the 24th October for a period of 12 weeks, closing on 13th January 2012.

March 2012 - District Plan: Feedback on Consultation

Members of the Better Environment Advisory Group will be considering the issues raised during the consultation on the Draft District Plan (October 2011-January 2012) at their meeting on the 27th March 2012. The report can be viewed using the link below. A full summary of all responses received, sorted by Issue/Policy Number, can also be downloaded below.

March 2012 - District Plan Timetable included in Local Development Scheme

A revised Local Development Scheme was been adopted by Cabinet on 5th March 2012. It includes the timetable adopted by Members in April 2011 for the production of the District Plan. The revised Local Development Scheme can be viewed on the Local Development Scheme page.
