If you have received a Penalty Charge Notice, don't ignore it, as it will not go away.  You have two options:
  1. Pay the Penalty Charge Notice
  2. Make an appeal

Paying a Penalty Charge Notice

If you pay no later than the fourteenth day after receiving the PCN, you can pay the reduced charge. If it is after this, then you will be required to pay the full charge, or an increased charge if you do not pay within the required time.

You may pay by by the following methods:

  • Telephone. Please call either the 24-hour automated service number shown in the contacts section on this page, or you can speak in person to a member of staff, via the main office number, during office hours.
  • Post. Please send a cheque/postal order made payable to Mid Sussex District Council, together with the payment slip or write the number of the PCN on the back of the payment.

We are NOT able to accept payment using - American Express - Diners Club - JCB

Credit/debit card payments may be made via the Internet by clicking on the link in the Downloads/links section.

Paying by instalment

You must write to us if you are unable to pay the amount you owe in full. We will not set up arrangements at the discount period.  Please refer to the download on the right of this page for further information.
