The Council has a key role in working with others to meet the housing needs of the District. Specifically, Housing Services are responsible for:
- Assessing the housing needs of the District
- Devising and implementing a strategy to meet those needs
- Working with others to develop affordable housing and housing-related support services
- Providing housing advice and options to those who need them
- The Common Housing Register/Choice-Based Lettings
