Mid Sussex District Council are pleased to inform their residents, that over and above the County Council's concessionary travel scheme, £30.00 of Taxi Vouchers per financial year are issued to eligible Mid Sussex residents who are unable to use public transport.
As Taxi vouchers are offered over and above the County Council Concessionary Travel scheme, please note that the number of books available is limited, and therefore we cannot guarantee availability.
One or more vouchers may be used to pay towards the cost of the fare with participating taxi companies.
Q. How do I apply for Taxi Vouchers?
A. To apply for Taxi Vouchers contact Community Services and Culture Section, Mid Sussex District Council, Oaklands, Oaklands Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. RH16 1SS (tel no 01444 477304)
Q. Can I have taxi vouchers and a bus pass?
A. No, under Mid Sussex District Council's Concessionary Fares scheme it is only possible to have either a bus pass or taxi vouchers
Q. Can I have taxi vouchers and a senior/disabled persons railcard?
A. Yes
Q. Can I change from Taxi Vouchers to a bus pass?
A. Yes you can change but only if you have not used any of the vouchers issued to you.
Q. What if I have used some of the vouchers?
A. You will have to wait until 31st March when the book of vouchers expires.
Q. What happens if my purse containing my taxi vouchers is stolen or lost?
A. As there are a limited number of books available per financial year, please note no replacement books are issued due to originals been lost or stolen.
Q. Can I use the vouchers with all Taxi Operators?
