West Sussex County Council are taking over responsibility for Concessionary Travel from 1 April 2011.

However the application process will remain the same, as District/Borough Councils within West Sussex have agreed to continue to operate the application processing services.

You may be eligible for a bus pass which entitles you to free bus travel in England (England National Concessionary Travel Scheme), reduced rail fares or reduced taxi fares if you are permanently resident in Mid Sussex

To apply for a bus pass under the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme you must apply in person to the Parish Council for the parish in which you live.  For details on what you need to take with you, please see the relevant page for the scheme to which you wish to apply.
